In messing with LED lights over the years, many failures track back to voltage over/under (bad/intolerant driver components) and heat. I've had expensive and cheap LEDs fail or go dim over time, enough of each side of the cost spectrum to say price hasn't been a deciding factor for my long term service experiance.
I've watched a single failure in a driver chain seemingly cause accelerated failure to other LEDs in the circuit.
