There are somethings to be said about a delivery driver taking a coach from the manufacturer to the dealer and putting 800 - 1000 miles on the odometer before you take delivery.
First, the warranty does not start until you take delivery of the coach.
Second, the delivery is the initial shakedown for the coach. In my case that was 861 miles where things had the chance to shake loose and fall apart.
Third, and I believe, most importantly, the dealer has to go into the coach and prep it for delivery. They need to find those items that shook loose or fell apart during the delivery drive and fix them before either they place it on the lot for viewing or before a customer conducts their PDI.
Personally I believe that delivery of a n RV from manufacturer to dealer should require a minimum of 4 days. The 4 days should include a minimum of 2 nights in different FHU campgrounds and a requirement that all systems be operated at least twice A full report on system function should then be provided to the dealer upon delivery.
I know this probably opened a can of worms but now you have my thoughts.
