Feeling blessed that we had 2 years without issue. This was our first powered awning and it's usually put in/out many times a day. I was braver in windy conditions with previous lower braced manual awnings. However we use the powered awning considerably more because it's so easy, fun and the LED lighting strip is "just right" area light.
