I have snap pads installed and love them but I still use my boards when on soft ground. I made my own out of 2x4's sandwiched between 2 sheets of plywood. They are 18" square and I fastened a loop of rope between the 2x4's. The size gives plenty of stability and I don't have to so carefully position them under the jacks. With the loop of rope I can easily retract them without getting onto my knees. Makes life easy!
