Dicor lap sealant or????

I’m sure this has come up but with all the new stuff out there I wasn’t sure what has been the best/better stuff to use?

Anyone find or using something better than Dicor? I know there’s a few polyurethane options out there but I read and hear that they tend to be more difficult, better wearing but silicone/dicor won’t stick to it so touchups tend to be more difficult, or you end up having two different products sealing up your roof or if you ever need to remove it to replace a vent or something like that becomes a much larger project.

Eternabond tape.

I feel like the Eternabond tape is just as crazy to get off as the urethane stuff is but certainly seems really durable and maintains its color better with less touch ups.
I’m not usually the guy that does all the “Rage” stuff! Lol. I guess I could tape all the roof seams, caps etc.. and stick with Dicor on all the vents and roof openings.

Search for Judge's Eternabond Challenge. You don't need to remove Eternabond when installing components (vents, etc.) just cut where you need to then lap new tape over the old when finished. Like having two layers of sealer. Actually easier than scraping Dicor.

Got ya! I looked around awhile for Dicor info but didn’t try the tape. Appreciate the info, Has anyone removed most of the dicor and just gone tape?

You can use the tape over the old dicor just make sure it is wide enough to cover over the dicor edges to be sure it is sealed completely.

I used 4 inch Eternabond, over new but cured Dicor. Seal the edges of the tape with Dicor or glue will pick up dirt. It's basically a once and done.
