Gen Y

I know this has been brought up before, but thought I would see that for those who have changed to a Gen Y pin box or goose neck your thoughts after using. Did it help with the ride? Is it an upgrade from the Morryde? Could you also specify if you have the pin box or goose neck.

If you have the MorRyde anti chucking pin box, which I think 95% of DRVs come with. Paring it with the BD5 hitch might be the magic combination.

Ordered a BD5 this past Thursday. Should be here the middle of the week. Hopefully it will help smooth out some of these great roads we travel on.

Please report back on your thoughts of it. I’m picking up a TS3 next week. But parked for the Winter so I won’t be able to tell a difference.

Not an expert on these hitches other than they are good quality. But the TS3 looks like it needs an adapter to work with your RAM puck system.

Why not get the model that snaps into your pucks without all the extra connections?

Doesn't mean it's the newest, updated model.

Absolutely amazing. I highly recommend. Works well with Morryde IS suspension. I removed the morryde pin box for GEN Y pin box fifth wheel. Great towing experience, great turning radius and easy backing into back in sites. You would be disappointed

I think he was trying to say they may have had old stock that has not been updated. Maybe they make them when the orders come in? I would think they stock some of every model.

"great turning radius and easy backing into back in sites."

Please explain the difference? I must be missing something.

I was thinking the same thing also, unless he shortened his wheelbase of the truck or had the axles of the rig pushed way up.

Probably repeating what a really good salesman said.

The gen Y pin box is shorter then the moryde, moves the trailer a little closer to the cab, so it moves the pin box away from the bed rails when turning.
