2018 30FE Bunkhouse Awning?

So I have a Freedom Elite 30FE Bunkhouse. On the entrance side the bunkhouse slides out which limits my awning size. Has anyone mounted an awning to the bunkhouse slide out?

We also have a 2018 Freedom Elite 30FE, and no, I’ve never considered mounting an additional awning in the bunkhouse slideout.
My biggest concerns would be;
1. What would the additional weight of the awning do to slideout tracks?, and
2. What would wind loads on the awning do to the slideout itself?
If you decide to do this, it’ll be interesting on how it turns out.
Please keep us posted.

With LandKO on this one. We have the same coach and that would be my concern. Additionally depending on your campsite you may not have enough room to use it as well. So just extra weight for no reason.

Sort of agree. I don't think the weight is an issue as I often retract the slide with my Kid, dog, and water supply kept in 7 gallon jugs. The wind force is something to consider. I'm also not sure if the slide wall is as thick as the standard wall were the other is mounted. Local place gave me an estimate of about $3k to do it. Not sure if it's worth it. I really would like some extra sun shade. I currently bring a 12X12 popup tent that I place in that area when the Campsite is large enough. Takes a little more work but maybe that is the best solution.
