Very impressed with the Ford 6 speed in cruise

I continue to be impressed with the Ford six speed transmission behind the new 7.3 V8. On Saturday we were making a mad dash out of Connecticut heading to Williamsport, PA because of the storm. We had the cruise set on 65 MPH and after entering New York on I-84 not far from Newburg is a very long and steep downhill grade. I was blown away as the speedometer was stuck to 65 MPH all the way down that grade and I never touched the brake or the accelerator. All other vehicles we have owned including our Chevy Sonic toad would have gained speed and then downshifted to slow the vehicle. That is an amazing tight control of the speed and Ford must be doing something with the torque converter to do that. I can't believe gearing along can control that tight.
