Battery question

Pardon me if this question has been asked already, I did a search but couldn't find anything.
I am going to change my 2 6v batteries to one 200AH AGM battery (Regony). My question is...will this be a straight drop in, or do I need to do anything special? I do have a 100 watt solar panel already installed with a 10a controller. Thanks for your help.

Battery question

You can swap two 6V batteries for one 12V battery (or more for additional capacity if connected in parallel) without any other changes.

However, 6V batteries are typically “true”deep cycle batteries which can be deeply discharged more frequently that the typical 12V deep cycle battery. That is why 6V are used more frequently in golf carts, pallet jacks, etc.

It is more difficult and expensive to find 6V AGM’s so if your goal is maintenace-free….. have at it.

Well, you won't need the jumper cables that are required for the two 6Vs. And you may have a problem with cable length but probably not.
