Is there a better ac?

I have a Thor Four Winds 22E. Is there any type of replacement ac where I can just set the temp I want. With the factory ac its either a meat locker if I turn it on or I turn it off and its way too hot.

You should have 2 knobs:
One for fan speed and cool.
One for temperature adjustment.

You don't mention the year of you coach or the A/C type and size but I think you need to reset your expectations.

Your motorhome is nothing close to your home. There is little to no insulation. It is far from air-tight. The A/C is closer to a window-type A/C than a whole hose A/C.

If you can make it as cold as a meat locker.... be thankful. Most owners complain about them not being able to get their coach cool enough.

As Ted said... you should have a fan speed and temp control... it should not just be full on or off.

The wiring diagram for the FW22F shows a thermostat in the bedroom. Do you have one? That is where I would start…could be the thermostat is bad or wired incorrectly.

1) Do you have a thermostat?
2) Is yours a ducted system?
3) What make & model AC do you have?

Need answers to these before I can attempt to help. Else just a guess
