Has anyone added a weboost?
Curious if anyone has added a weboost to their sanctuary / tranquility. I did notice what appears to be some type of roof access port near the air vent but it is hidden above the microwave. Just looking for a good place to run the cable to the roof mount antenna.

we have! although we ride in a Vegas/axis. I ran the wire up the refrigerator heat exhaust vent, a handy access for running wires to the roof. the weboost is mounted to the ladder for roof access at the rear. I ran the solar wires that way too. we get lots of use from the weboost.

Thanks for the reply. I did see that the winegard use a cat 6 cable and was thinking about somehow using that cable. I do have a drain vent behind the refrigerator that could work similar to your idea. I can see that would be a easy place to put a hole (or add a T), run the wire to the roof, and then seal the hole back up.

that is about what I did. also have the winegard up there too, wired through same access. I was surprised at how little we use the winegard, and how much we use the weboost.

I like the Winegard but it does seem to be a bit finicky and I do not have confidence that it will work properly when I need it. My backup plan is going to be either my iPhone with the weboost or a hotspot with a weboost ... I need to remain connected because I will be working remotely as I travel around the country this summer.

I use a PepWave Max Transit Duo with Verizon and AT&T. Connects to the service with the strongest signal.
My Winegard has been a roof decoration since I got the PepWave las July.

Post 717 in my signature thread shows how I find the weboost to be really very poor compared to my other two Wi-Fi boosters. Honestly it's a water pistol compared to a handgun.
It looka lika man, if the man is Matty Mattel.
The good WeBoost reviews seem to be from people who have nothing to compare to.
Buy that white booster if you want something to move from vehicle to vehicle(we move it from vehicle to vehicle as needed)
My WeBoost and a hotspot does work. It does hold a signal. It is just so comparatively weak.
The WeBoost reaches out and whispers to a tower.
That white one reaches out and locks on like a pit bull.
Real life comparison here.

[QUOTE=16ACE27;343304]What Duck is talking about: The "white box" is now gray.
Thanks. Mine is maybe 13years old. And I'm remembering it being waaaaayy mote expensive.
I ripped one of the antennas off last month so I ordered an antenna through the company. Customer service let me know I had accidently ordered two new anntena, asked me if this was correct, then refunded me, all on their own initiative.
(I think they may also have been double checking to see if I was 'hotrodding' their unit again)
We initially installed antennas which were a bit over the top.
They, in the old 3g days I don't know about now, could lock a tower channel DOWN.
I have since changed the antennas to be more compliant with fcc compliance.

Just wanted to close the loop on my purchase for those interested:
After weeks of research and enough reading to cause me to fall asleep standing up ... I decided to purchase the Cel-Fi Go G32 for Class B package. I am going to start off with the OTR with the mag mount but possibly purchase the 38" whip for those time when I am stationary in the middle of no where.
I decided on this cell boost because it is carrier specific (but can toggle to another carrier if needed) which means I have a focused boost and reduces noise. It also has 65db of mobile boost and 100bd of stationary boost, which is the highest allowed by the FCC.
It also has a much bigger range in and around the RV which means I'll be experimenting on the impact to the Wingard. I will also be investing in a hot spot with a different carrier ... not sure on which one yet.
Yes, this setup is more expensive than the top weboost, but as I need to stay connected, I am willing to pay a bit more for a better signal and yes I know that if there is no signal to boost, cell boost are useless.
I will be producing a video of my install and experience.
