Manual Organization

I would like some advice on how to organize my manual so they’d be easily accessible and find. Anyone find a suitable solution

Download electronic versions and store them in a single folder

I have all mine on my laptop and in a folder on my personal cloud drive

Any organization goes from broad categories to narrow categories.

So maybe start at Systems and work you way down to specific components.

Ultimately, it's what makes the most sense in YOUR mind.

All my original coach manuals are in the magic black Thor zippered bag. I keep a separate tabbed notebook of printouts diagrams/layouts etc. of the modifications I've done... just paper copies of my electronic documents. This is in case I'm incapacitated - someone else has ready access.

I have sections on fuse sizes, where they're located, a troubleshooting guide - even a tools/equipment list and designated storage compartment where located.

For instance if the LiFePO4 batteries would be completely drained, the BMS puts them in "sleep mode" and they might not readily charge. To wake them you simply bump the E-start switch - which wakes them up. This is something I don't expect my wife to know, so there's instructions in "The Notebook".

manual organization

I just keep it all printed out in 3-ring binder sleeves in 1" cover. I use this and my laptop for reference. Stored under my stuff in upper cabinet.
Full set from owner's portal, schematics for my 20L, and any components included. I keep my pdfs in there too from my mods, in case i need, or for the next owner.
Black bag stays home- too messy to organize inside.

The hardest thing for me to remember is the convection microwave!
Pays to be OCD sometimes...

Then to make it easier to find stuff create subfolders by system. I.E.
Water / plumbing
Electrical / power
Appliance
Heat / AC

and so on. You can get as granular as you like. Also rename the files with descriptive names that describe what the document is about.
