Privacy Curtain Hokey

2023 Thor Tiburon 24FB, MB 3500 Chassis

The privacy curtain that is designed to go around the Murphy bed is ill-contrived. It is in the way and a nuisance when stored, and when deployed ineffective and bothersome.

Surely an owner with more experience and creativity than I has figured out an alternative or modification to improve the design. Please share it with me.

Ceiling mounted pull down window shades in custom length and width.
If this is acceptable, I'll expound.

A pre-purchase consideration but we're all guilty of a few of them. Just practice and honor this statement..."DON'T LOOK RIGHT NOW".

At our age that statement is not required we know better and it’s not a problem. I am sure what I have needs to be eliminated or modified. I am new to Tiburon coming out of a Synergy. I just figured I won’t speed time recreating the wheel and get some guidance and advice from those who have more seniority with the unit. Thanks to all That have replied

I think that is a diffident possibility

Privacy? From who or what.

Given the size of that thing and where the bath is, calling it Privacy anything may be a misnomer. To me it is no different than a sheet cover when you sleep.

If you truly have guest, I would not use at all because they would not have cover sheet either. It would be like sharing a tent. Our tent has a divider but we never use.

It reminds me of being in a pre-op day care hospital room, they pull a curtain around you for privacy where everyone is talking and walking around you while you have a cold naked butt You can hear everything being said in so called privacy rooms 2 privacy rooms down.

I don't have your RV but I have installed a privacy curtain in almost every RV I have owned.

I assume the OEM design is to allow sleeping privacy but allow access to the bathroom from forward sleeping areas?

If that is not a consideration, but just need privacy for changing in the master bedroom area, either redirect the ceiling track (if flexible) from forward of the murphy bed to the other side of the RV just aft of the TV. It not, just replace the track with a new one. The curtain can be tied back to the space between the murphy bed and "Dream Dinette". A shorter width curtain is less bulky when stowed.

That floor plan requires
Waddler McWideRide, my dear friend,
To slide her wide one across the end of the hide-a-bed on her way to loudly ruin the bathroom.
This would make the roll ups kink badly then tear.
(Tear due to tare)

I doubt anything other than the current type of curtain will work IF you have non-intimate company in the RV.
You could trim them up so they hide only the bed and do not hang to the floor(I've had to guess due to lack of detail in your question).
This would take considerable weight and interference away.

I'm ignorant about this type of RV floor plan.
Can you use, truly use, the kitchen(in its entirety) and EASILY access the bathroom with the slide in?
