Four winds start issue

I have a 2019 Four Winds 31W,
Having an issue with a no start. Does anyone know what this dash light indicates ?

Page 53 is where the symbols and their meanings are located.

You have:

Low Fuel
Seat Belt
Anti-Theft System - Flashes when the SecuriLock Passive Anti-theft System activates.
Brake System Warning Light.

Only the Anti-theft system would prevent starting.

Thanks for the response. The red light with the vehicle and lock. I have not found that exact symbol anywhere. I'm in the process of checking fuses.
Nothing worse than a wireing problem.

Hello, just a suggestion as I'm not familiar with your particular chasis. If it is the security feature keeping your vehicle from starting is it possible that your batteries are dead in your key Fob if you have one. Or potentially the key itself has a chip in it like the cars do that tells the autotheft that this is the key for the vehicle. You should be able to tell this by putting key in ignition and turning the ignition to the start position and if the security light is flashing while you have the ignition in the start position then you more than likely have a anti-theft issue. Good luck, like I said only a suggestion.

The anti-theft issue is likely NOT a fuse problem. I agree with Craig above.

Or it could be a rodent chewed wire problem. What's the history? When did it work correctly last?

Did you replace your key?? I don’t recall but that year I believe had the chip in the key for anti theft, basically a transponder key. It is basically not recognizing your key. Have a spare key you can try?

The first thing I would do is to disconnect the battery for several minutes and then reconnect it. That will cause all the system modules to go thru a rest. If that does not help then follow the other recommendations of dead battery in the FOB or a problem with the chip in the key. If you have a second set of keys try them. Also measure the voltage of the vehicle battery and if it is not about 12 volts put a charger on it. Modern vehicles will usually not operate if the battery voltage is low.

If the "lock" icon is fast-flashing during a failed starting attempt, it is indeed PATS failure to prove out event.


Just a note: The keys supplied by Ford and their authorized suppliers do not rely on the fob battery for the PATS function. The battery is only used for the fob's remote convenience operations.

I apologize. I have not resolved the problem. Life got in the way to prevent me from working on it.
