Service engine light

We have a 2017 Thor Freedom Elite class C. We’ve had the service engine light go on and off and flash. We took it to Ford where we used to live in California. They tried to get it to misfire and it wouldn’t. They ran the diagnostics on it and everything was fine. Then, we drove it to Nevada to our new home and the light came on again. Took it to a mechanic here where he had it for several weeks. He tightened up loose wires and really tried to figure it out. Finally, he said he thinks it’s the computer and he doesn’t have the equipment to diagnose it. He said it runs great. Husband said on way out here it was running great and all the gauges were great. We’re thinking we might have to take it to Ford in Vegas next. If anyone has any ideas or info we would appreciate it. Thank you.

service engine

My mistake. Husband said it was throwing codes. All kinds of weird ones. Misfire on startup when it hadn’t been started yet and cylinders misfiring. Diagnostics on laptop showed perfect firing. It was throwing all, inns of weird codes. Mechanic thinks computer is malfunctioning but not sure. Apparently Ford has a program that no one else has. They won’t sell it. It’s Ford patented.

The only thing I can think off that would cause everything your saying would be either the crank or cam sensor or wiring to them.

Anyone with a scan tool that can view live data should be able to watch the 2 sensor while you drive and see if they stay in sync, but I have seen bad fuel plug up injectors and for about 10.00 put a can of seafoam in the fuel and see if it clears up.
