No power at a/c receptacles in driver’s slide-out

Freedom Elite 30FE tip for future reference.
Got back from a camping trip Sunday. Parked RV on our usual concrete pad in the back yard. Had a bad storm Sunday night. Lots of wind, rain and lightning.
Went out on Monday and there was no power at the a/c receptacles in the driver’s side slideout.
Checked the 15 amp receptacle circuit breaker and it’s fine (there is power at all the other receptacles in the RV)
Finally I decided to check the GFI outlet in the bathroom. Sure nuff, it had been tripped, probably by the bad storm we had.
Seems strange that the drivers side outlets are all GFI protected but not the passenger side.

GFCI protected duplex receptacles are required for outside locations, those within 6 ft of water and in basements.

If your kitchen is on the driver side, then that it where the GFCI outlets will be located because they are in close proximity to water.

In my SV34 all the outlets in the kitchen and near the recliners (next to the kitchen) on the driver side are on the same circuit with the actual GFCI outlet being in the bathroom. The outside outlets are also on the GFCI circuit because of potential water exposure.

When get tonthe bedroom the outlets on the driver side are not on a GFCI circuit because they are away from water.

If your GFCI outlet won’t reset, replace it.
