Dryer Vent - Lint and oil on paint

Had a washer/dryer installed and this time I got a nice chrome vent that points downwards like I see on most high-end units. Looks great BUT...lint now seems to collect all over the paint. Seems to have a little oily reside in the exhaust which I guess is left over from fabric softener as it dries.

On our last unit we had the basic white with flaps and it was not painted, just gelcoat. We never had this issue on that coach. It was either the vent that points downwards or the pain vs gelcoat.

Are others experiencing this? I waxed it really good in that spot and that seems to make it stick more. The W/D is in the mid-section right by the entry door on this model, so you see it when entering.
