You'll find a difference of opinion on this. I don't put mine down through the winter while in storage. I park on wood planks no matter what surface is under the RV and cover the tires to help prevent oxidation of the sidewalls.

If you put the jacks down, be sure to wipe them off before retracting them in the spring. I honestly don't see an advantage in putting them down and just don't want to crawl under to wipe them off.

The system will handle it so it will do no harm. Snow birds and full timers have theirs down months at a time because they are using them. I just have read of no valid reason to use them while in storage.

I have NEVER experienced flat spots on my tires and this is my third motorhome over a period of 40 years.
