Toad's built-in TPMS would probably be on one of the vehicle's CAN busses (I'm guessing a medium-speed one sending readings to the dashboard). Thus I'd first have to get one of the OBD-II modules working with my software (something I did consider at one point except that Forscan works so well). Then figure out the messages that report back the tire pressures (they report all the time--at least they do in my C-Max: If I put the dashboard in diagnostic mode I can see the pressure values for each tire).

Now multiply that effort by 3? 4? 5? (Ford, GM, Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, etc.)

Much easier to just get extra sensors and put them on the valve stems.
