How we fixed our steps.

We had the same thing happen with our steps several times last fall. Every now and then the step motor sticks, especially after a cold evening. Apparently this is a common problem. To fix it, we lightly tap the motor a few times with a mallet or the back end of hammer. Not too hard, but just enough to knock it loose. Works every time.
