I will check mine for freedom of movement. The steps seem to go in and out fully. I get the overcurrent protection as a means to stop the motor at the end of travel or if they are blocked by an obstacle, the motor stops trying after a few seconds. It may be a stripped gear that is making the buzzing/grinding sound. BRRRRRRRP! (excuse me) But it only occurs in the same spot at the full out position.
