Dan the issue is not with the cap but the seal. They use just a standard rubber seal. It degrades I believe due to the heat. I noticed them breaking down in 1- 1 1/2 years. Plus DRV, Dexter and Kodak said the only way to buy the seal was that you had to buy the cap assembly. I found a better seal that will hold up a lot longer. Just trying to keep my bearing clean and dry.
