The Coleman digital I believe is a plug and play replacement.

If you go with a residential unit (eg: Honeywell) it is critical that you get one that does NOT require a "C" wire (24VAC). The correct one will have batteries.

I replaced both of my original units with Honeywell digital ones. Works well.

The wires in the wall do not follow the standard thermostat colors.
