This may not be very helpful to you to fix your problem immediately. But I found the One Control help desk very "helpful." Give then a call at (574) 537-8900 when the open tomorrow and if they treat you like me, they'll stay on the line until they have a solution.
You may also try the phone app. It's a bit different than the monitor and may work.
And finally, there is a way to get the awning retracted with a battery. I've never tried it. But you should be able to find some directions - maybe Youtube?
