I have a 2012 and my outside showers (I have 2) are supposed to be the low point drains also. I have never had to truly winterize here in south Florida but after working on the kitchen plumbing earlier this year the outside shower on that side looked like the low point for that side to me. My other outside shower is by the bathroom so it makes sense there also.
