But this is not about that anyway.
It's about having the common sense and good manners to obey the Law.
Here's a point that needs to be made:
If you're a visitor into another County: you don't get to make the rules. It's their ball and their court.
You have several possible choices:
Ignore the rules, and pay for what happens to you; if you get caught.
Consider finding a legal way to accomplish what you are trying to do...
or...
Just don't go to that Country.
If you choose to ignore their laws and get caught: rest assured that we all will be paying the price for it! The term "Ugly American" unfortunately has a factual basis behind it. Nobody here is free from the consequences of their choices.
FOR THE RECORD: I am a Benefactor Member of the NRA, and firmly believe in the right of responsible citizens to own and use firearms legally.
...Legally...

Bob - I agree completely. It all boils down to legality.
I’ll add another data point that many (?) of us may not be aware of. While it’s legal to transport a firearm throughout the US, you must know and obey the local laws. Just because something is legal in WV, for instance, it may be completely illegal in the state you’re in. So the traveler must be aware.
Being in an RV may also be completely different than being in a car. So we need to be aware.
For example. Several states are “duty to inform” states, which means that after “good morning officer” the next words need to be “I’m carrying a firearm.”
