Sometimes the moving part gets stuck in the "in" position and needs to be popped out by a screwdriver but these are cheap latches and most likely the moving side of the latch may have broken. |
After breaking one latch prying with a screwdriver, I bought a crochet hook that grabs that little thingee allowing me to easily pull it into the “out” position.
