My new Georgetown recommends ONLY moving the slides with the Engine running. The reason is that the alternator is able to keep voltage with the amp draw of the slide motors. So it keeps your slide motors happy.
The slides work with shore power or generator also, though. But not with at least one of the above.
And I think it requires parking brake...but my procedure is to set brake first, then level, then slide...and reverse to go. So I don’t try slides with parking brake off.
