it's doubtful that any fridge is designed for the instance where " my freezer thawed out, reason unknown, and everything Melted and all the water went down and into my furnace and some into my storage compartment, that’s how I noticed I had a problem ..." problem. They don't make a tray 'big enough' for every worst-case situation...where would they put it?
We've had our residential fridge in our coach for over 5 years, even during storage where it's not 'on', with no issues with anything 'thawing' from the freezer, especially since we took it out before storing it.
If your fridge is not 'working', that's a whole different story...
