You are in the ballpark. Get a ScanGauge or similar instrument that measures MPG, and you will soon find the best speed and best ways to drive the RV, fuel efficiency wise. Even then, don't expect much more mileage than what you are currently getting.
I can hit 10mpg and change when resetting the ScanGauge after achieving highway speeds (highway only), but am closer to 9mpg combined (highway plus city).
I'm at around 15,000lbs or so. Funny thing though, doesn't seem to be much difference when towing a 3,000lb car or not.
