You are correct..... you need an MPPT Controller for those voltages.

I have two 160W flexible Renogy panels connected to my GoPower 10A Controller and it is serving me well. I could only install them in parallel and not series for that reason. When / if my GoPower controller dies, I will probably go to a 30A Renogy PWM or MPPT Controller. Leaning towards the PWM because the MPPT Controller is so big and bulky.
