If I understand correctly the answer is no. Your 30 amp cable does not need to be connected to anything while you are driving. If you are running the generator while you are driving the generator charges the batteries. If you are not running the generator then the chassis's alternator will charge the house batteries through the BIRD.

For photos, I on the edit screen or post reply. screen you have to "go advanced". Once in advanced editing you will see and icon of a paper clip. Clicking the paper clip will open a window that will allow you to attach photos or document within size limitations.
