Tow Dolly Fender Protection

Has anyone covered the fenders on tow dolly to prevent accidental scratching of towed car? I have a Honda Civic and have had times when the car accidentally came in contact with dolly fenders, while driving. Once, I found myself in a predicament at a gas station pump, where I had to back-up a few feet (I know I should not have done so) and ended up with scratches on my car. Another time the steering on Honda did not lock properly, and on a tight turn I again had scratches on car. Even though I am now aware of these errors I made, there is always a chance that it may happen again for another mishap. So now I am looking for a way to protect car from accidental contact with dolly fender. Any suggestions?
