Challenger 37KT Slide Failure

We have a 2016 Challenger 37KT and recently had to replace the gear box on our full wall slide. In the process of repairing it was determined that the floor of the slide had cracked and was putting undue strain on the gear box. The crack occurred at the point where the subfloor was beveled to allow the floor to come up on the rollers. The floor gets hung up when retracting the slide putting undue strain on the gear box. We have an extended warranty that will cover the gear box but not the repair to the floor because it is not considered a mechanical failure. The current estimate to repair is approx. $6,000.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with their full wall slide? Did you have it repaired and if so what did they do to repair it in a way that would prevent a similar issue from occurring in the future.
