67" Double RV Wall Hugger Recliner Sofa with Console
|
I installed the Rec-Pro Charles with center console in our Vegas. One reason for picking this recliner was that it could be ordered with cloth upholstery. I bought the manual recline model.
It is a fairly easy install. The back is already removed from the chair and it all fits thru a 22" door. I removed the jacknife sofa and removed the seat belts. I then added 3 1/2 inches to the front edge of the slide to have enough depth for the new chairs using a 2x4 joined it to the slide with 6 metal straps. I then covered the slide with black carpet and installed the new recliners plus outer two belts. I fastened the chairs down with a couple of homemade brackets-they do not need much to stay in place. I don't feel you really need an RV tech to do this, just a handy person (you or a friend) or a paid handyman should be able to accomplish it. The whole job will take about 4 hours or so.
Nearly a year later, we are still happy with them and they are a huge improvement over the sofa. I would rate the quality as good, but it won't compare with fine home furniture!
