Hello and welcome. We’ve used Harvest Hosts on 3 occasions so far.
The first was a goat farm where we boon-docked overnight and were allowed to use our generator. The owner gave us a tour of the farm and we purchased some items from their store. Very pleasant stop.
The second was a vineyard. We actually boon-docked in the field next to the vines. They had wine tasting for us. They gave us the combination to the gate lock so we could leave and come back after hours. Excellent stay.
The third was a farmer’s market. Although the market was nice, we were told that the gate would be locked at 6pm and not be opened until the morning. We decided not to stay.
Just remember that Harvest Hosts locations are places to overnight on your way to your final destination. Some have interesting things to do and others do not.
In my opinion, it’s serves its purpose and is worth the membership fee. They ask that you spend about $20 at the sites in exchange for their hospitality.
I hope this helps.
