There are several added benefits.......

First, the Winegard unit is on the roof and has a much better cellular antenna than any cell phone. When you cell phone is showing only 1 bar of signal, the Winegard unit could actually have 3 or 4 bars of signal. This greatly improves connectivity and throughput. I have actually had 0 bars on my phone but the Winegard was able to get some signal.

Next, the Winegard unit has a much better WiFi antenna than your cell phone. It will give you much better signal and throughput inside and outside your coach. As you move further from your cell phone, WiFi performance starts to degrade.

Also the more devices connected to your phone, the performance will drop more than it will with multiple devices connected to the Winegard unit.
