Depends on the inverter. Some of the pass-through relays in the inverter need to have the inverter on to use shore power to power the TVs. My Xantrex Freedom Xi comes on automatically any time there is shore power or generator power, so it can act as a UPS in case of power failure. It can be turned off only is there is no power on the coach. It can also be set to turn off automatically when there is no shore power or generator power.
