Hepos are factory-installed quite often under the shower. I would NOT replace a p-trap with one. Maintenance problem. Does not take much to get something from a kitchen sink to get stuck in that. You'll soon find out just how bad gray water can smell. Keep it simple stupid is my motto. Don't reinvent the wheel.
