The chassis alternator has a fixed voltage regulator and from your picture it looks like it is putting out 14.2 volts and the BIM is connecting the chassis and coach batteries so they are at the same voltage.

The converter has a variable voltage output. You can catch it at 14.4 or so if it is at the end of its "absorption cycle". Read up on three step charging cycles for more info. But after hitting that max voltage it will drop back to about 13.6 volts to its long term float setting. So it is all about when you read the voltage during its charging cycles.

Solar controllers have the same three step profile and they will also peak at 14+ volts and then drop back to the mid 13s when the batteries are full.
