The n/0 notation is for wires larger than AWG 1...
0 (or aught)
00 or 2/0
000 or 3/0
0000 or 4/0...
So yes - 2/0 wire is 3 sizes larger than AWG 2.
The diameter of 2-gauge wire is 0.2576 inch. The diameter of 2/0-wire is 0.3648 inch.
