If it was me I would add a second detector in the sleeping areas before going to bed with a gas generator running. If diesel, maybe you could just trust the OEM your coach came with. Conditions, like wind could be favorable when you go to sleep but that may all change in the middle of the night. Or while driving during the day you could have hit some debris and developed a small exhaust leak in the generator, allowing it to enter the coach.
