We have the wineguard G2+ portable for Direct TV. It is SD. At the time we purchased ours (last year), the HD required a mounted antenna and was much more expensive. We have Direct TV at home so we just bring our HDDVR from home and it gives us our local (home) network programming and anything we recorded on the DVR. Very convenient for keeping up with the Giants while on the road in the summer
