As you see this question always generates distinct yes an no responses... Comes down to personal preference... A known fixed payment versus unknown repair bills.
I will say FINANCING an extended service plan over the life of an RV loan can be a lot more expensive... If getting through dealer with purchase, pay it upfront if you can.
After market plans allow monthly payments rather than upfront.
My general advice (worth what you are paying for it) is to start with just warranty - see how the year goes, and if you want a plan near end of warranty, then shop around for aftermarket...
