Sewer hose storage question
I am new to RV'ing and have a question about sewer hose storage. I have a Class A that does not have a to tube to store the sewer hose. What do y'all use to store your sewer stuff? Thanks for your input.

All of my sewer hoses and connectors are in a plastic tub.

Bob, That photo you posted, is that your dump bin? I have never seen dump lines with 90 degr. Vertical elbows. It appears to me that you would never be able to fully drain the lines. They would act like traps for black and grey water and possibly even some solids. The other thing to note is that if any spray gets on the slide controller mounted on the back wall, that could create a different problem. Or maybe what I think I see is not really that way at all!?

You rotate it down (180 degrees): when it's time to play...

Same as Bob...I have the Rhino with the end caps on both ends of hose. Flush grey last, rinse hose, cap both ends and throw it in the turd bay until the next party.

Many of Thor's models (Axis/Vegas ones come to mind) sewer outlets rotate like Bob's.
I mounted a plastic fencepost under the frame to hold the sewer hose.

I'm going to suggest you look up the under 100 buck bayonet mount macerator on amazon and buy one along with the purchase of a 3/4" 25' garden hose.
Leave the macerator attached to the coach. Hell, leave the hose attached to the macerator if you like.
It makes life simpler for us.
Others will disagree.
(when storing the detached garden hose thread the male end to the female end on the other end...and it's sealed. )

We found the best way to keep the slinky; "Un-Stinky"!
after the Gray tank dump: put about a cup of dishwashing soap down the toilet, and fire up the San-T-Flush.
Let it get about five gallons of water in the tank, and then dump it.
keep repeating it until there's no more bubbles going through the hose.

I have two tubs with lids. One is for sewer hoses and connectors and the other is for fresh water hoses and connectors. They get stored in different compartments on the coach.
As a note, 2 25 foot water hoses will store nicely in a 5 gallon bucket.

This is what I did on my Outlaw 29H to get them out of the storage bins. I bought a couple Valterra Sewer Hose Carriers and assembled them so they extended across the entire width of the coach so I could have a door on each side. I re-plumbed my black tank drain so it did not go under the driveshaft since it was so low to the ground and added a separate drain for the black tank on the passenger side. I can easily remove or store the hose from either side of the coach. I have four 10' sections stored in it.

The 29H isn't exactly endowed with a surplus of outside storage bin capacity...
Great job!

If your propane tank is in the compartment next to the dump bay you can attach a 5x5 vinyl fence post under the outside part of the tank that can enter the dump bay by about an inch. The other end will butt up against the storage compartment forward of the propane tank. Store your hose in there and use a post cap to seal it inside the dump bay.

For several years all the Thors I have seen have the rotatable fitting
Most of the larger class A's have the water inlet and filter in the bay as well as the outdoor shower so not a place to store anything

Thanks for your input. Mine is one that has water inlet, filter and sewage dump in one area. Thinking the Valterra is the way to go. It looks like the brackets have two screws on each end to attach underneath. Are there any issues I should be aware of when screwing this on underneath?

I had one mounted under my Outlaw. They used the frame of the trailer hitch for the mounting points.
I'd avoid screwing anything to the body: try hooking it to the frame...

There are two holes on the mount for each end of the tube. I actually used the screws that were already available where the outer skin was screwed onto the aluminum infrastructure.

I've got a separate bay for all of the "clean" water stuff...

Worked well for me for the past 50 years or so
