The wheel wells aren't permanently installed yet. If all you're doing is the fenderwell and nothing else, they are literally some self tappers and 20 minutes of work. You don't even have to take the tires off. Insulation adds time, but not much. The wells even come with capture nuts along the outer edge.
Someone on the forum mentioned air conditioner access needing to be made through the fender well so I'm redesigning the insulation plan.
Then someone said something about the chassis battery that leads me to believe I can lay a dry cell on its end just behind the right headlight and probably access the terminals from under the hood. So that's a redesign.
That factory battery being moved will allow me the room to put a floor safe under the fold down desk, taking up the space above the factory battery placement.
Now since the factory battery is gone I can foam fill between the engine and the dash above where the factory battery was...except for the ac repair access, that needs determined.
Damnable forum folk

Ugly and Temporary but needed as a proof of concept.
Hepa filter is 3 for $13
I'll make a nice housing for it if the filter is effective.
Or
I'll leave the tape if it sticks well and is effective.
Three hours to make a housing or three minutes to apply new tape/filter.
I'm not sure of water or restriction or ice or even usefulness.
Your comments carry weight in this filter project....
I'm off to try a fitment on the internal air intake.
(it took me a while to find it. It's hidden in plain sight. You can't help but kick it often if you're in the front passenger seat.)

The hepa filters have been on my mind forever.
I had originally stuffed stainless steel wool up those three inch ac intakes to keep vermin out.
We have controlled forest burns every year and this year prompted to finally order some filters to test.
We have been lucky so far this year in that the winds have been steady and favorably in a direction away from us. The 24.1 is loaded and ready to bug out if the wind shifts.
The burns might go on for months.

This $13 item, and 15 minutes let's you activate any garage door and any electric gate. (these used to be 5 bucks on ebay, I haven't looked to verify)
'OK, Google. Open gate'
'Alexa, open gate'
And
A button on your phone that activates the gate/garage door/ any switched 12v(ish) device from anywhere in the world.
Alexa, turn on rv porch light'
It can also do locked signals.
I'm going to try it on my garage desktop to make it turn back on after a power outage.
'Alexa, turn on desktop computer'

I mark all batteries with this type marking. The paint is raised so I can feel if I can't see which terminal is which.
The tulip paint is available at any craft place and usually walmart. It is like thicker plastidip.
I used it to seal hydrophones for a deep water project. 600ft and not a leak.
I love that stuff.

Has anyone ever put a supercharger on their V10? On my old Silverado I was running a Whipple blower and it was pretty badass. Not that I really have the money to waste at the moment but I have it in the back of my mind slapping a Whipple on my 32 class c would be nice.

The picture is directions to a website about a twin turbo setup. (I took a picture of the TV and stashed that in the 'Probably not but possibly so' folder)
The unfortunate part about the v10 is, the same as my gm 8.1, no one makes any aftermarket stuff worth buying.
Headers for a v10 are $1,000 and do very little for it, and I hate header noise.
A mcculloch or side mount Paxton is interesting.
I did a more than mild search for v10 goodies and found nothing worthwhile.
That tuner that some rant on about adds 'seat of the pants' for 500 bucks on the new 6speeds.
I'll not be spending on it.
If you find something please post it here.
I don't think I want much to do with twin turbos and as I remember watching that vid, it wasn't exactly a breathtaking increase in torque or hp.
I really wanted 600ftlbs, but had to settle for the 4wd. 4wd was available, I really couldn't find a power vendor.
If you have a different opinion after looking through their web stuff, I'm pretty easy to convince.

These are at my finger tips along with the
National fire situational Awareness app
In the last picture.
The fire thing is a website(i think) that acts like an app.
The fire app has been very helpful.
The placard app
We were following a tanker truck in the Flagstaff area. I thought it odd for a tanker to have a Florida plate and the placard struck an uncomfortable but fogged memory.
I looked up the placard and some bastards were trucking an entire tanker of PHOSGENE from what seemed to be Florida to California.
The scattered websites shown in those folders are there as constant, but nonconsequential reminders to do some research. As I finally get off my considerable ass and decide if perusal of the original spark of interest has value, I'll throw the links away or buy/build.

wow, a lot of useful apps that's for sure. Research is always the key. Its good to get ideas from other people but ultimately your own research for you works best. Thanks for sharing.

Installing two Tornado black tank scrubbers
Fairly straight forward.
I decided to angle mine. I figured the last place that needed cleaned was the wall they were mounted on and the spot above the drain, so I angled them to hit just before the drain.
The only pointer I can offer is have a much longer screw handy, have it already in the unit when you set it against the tank. The silicone masks the holes and makes it all but impossible to find the predrilled holes with screws. Having a long index gives you an angle that gives you a chance....
The rest of the story is in the next post.

Installing two Tornado black tank scrubbers remix
When using a drill on plastic most good scouts know you turn the bit backwards so the teeth won't catch the plastic and tear and jump.
When you do that, the chuck loosens and your bit will likely stay as you pull back on the drill.
That first picture is my 1 3/4" hole saw inside the black tank where it fell out of the chuck when I pulled the drill back.
The picture was taken with my $12 wireless android phone endoscope. That's the yellow thing that looks like cord. I love that thing.
The other picture is the two magnets that didn't work along with the 'magnet in a bag' trick that did work.
Then the mess left behind
I did not take a picture of the tube of bad silicone. It had seperated and went on like tapioca pudding.
So I got to wash three magnets and a hole saw and the endoscope.
If I didn't have that endoscope I'd still be fishing in that 1.75" hole.
I used my ryobi flood lamp, caulking gun and drill motor.
I was so dreadding doing this. I didn't have even a whiff of black tank even from the tools I washed.
I'll install the lines later. I think I'm going to make them from garden hose instead of the lines they give with the kit.

Dash compartments for axis/Vegas and class A dashes. $12
This is the very first mod we made to the axis. It's a piece of rain gutter(available at almost any hardware store in a few colors) cut to length and lined with felt. The small bin in front of the long bin is the cut off part.
One 10ft length of rain gutter in the color of your choice, four end caps...and you have two nice bins that took 20 minutes to make.
It doesn't rattle, is lightly wedged in the walls and is indispensable for cords and chapstick and nail clippers and that type of stuff.
Ours is metal, they make pvc also.
Click the picture, then click the pop up picture and it will go full screen size.

My bathroom fan used to cause a horrible screeching noise.
The mod in the link caused the spousal unit to quit Making that noise just because she couldn't reach the ceiling switch.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01DO...b_b_asin_image
Cut two wires in half, twist a new wire to each you cut...
Fifteen minutes and any overhead fan or basement light or anything 12v, under 40amp, is now remote control.
12v outlet, overhead fan, lights, dash fan, a 12v sprinkler selonoid you hooked to a black tank clean out(next week).
Aux back up light you want to control but don't want to run 40ft of wire for a switch.
No pictures its just a bathroom fan for now.
(it's kinda weird. The two smaller buttons make it strobe or pulse if you want a fan to do such a thing.)
(someone recommended this one too)

Four USB and two 12v outlets added to the dash
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00XD...b_b_asin_image
Hot glue for me, whatever works for you, one hole drilled in that cubby(run the drill backwards or use a soldering iron. If you try to drill forward, you'll tear things up badly on this type of plastic), two little harnesses made to tap the existing 12v receptacle(you can just pigtail or splice).
I trimmed them to fit, but If you wanted to use a 2gang residential faceplate, it looked just fine, I did this instead. Those are TWO units side by side that fit in a standard switch plate. I should have taken a pic of them seperate. They fit so well they snapped in behind the lip that's already surrounds that cubby hole. Secured themselves without glue or screws(use gorilla glue if you want.)
I was originally going to go with six USB and one 12v,but changed to this configuration. One of the 4gang USB will go on the drivers side melted into the dash panel.
About an hour total.
The last pic is the tools I used. A butane soldering iron is a magical thing to own. It cut a really nice hole in that plastic.
Click the picture, then click the popped up picture and the picture will go full screen and zoom able.

Another "More Power" Mod
Like others in this thread, I went for some more power ports on the dash. I decided to recess my new ports inside the the little dash cubby to minimize the chance of the plugs getting in the way. As ducksface mentioned, the plastic inside the hole is very thin so I marked it up using the face plate and cut the holes with an exacto knife. I added a 10A inline fuse with the new ports and tied into the existing 30A plug using piggyback quick connects.
