My safe appears to have just two deck screws along the inside bottom edge securing it.

My safe is in a shelf arrangement. The whole thing is screwed to the adjacent walls - lots of screws. I removed the whole assembly as one piece before I could start peeling off the plywood. The plywood is glued and stapled on to the frame and I didn't try to re-use it. I bought some white finished beadboard and used that instead - it helped to brighten up the closet.

Supposed to look like this, right ?

That's what I get for pulling the safe out to see why it was so loose

WOW, sorry to hear this. I thought I had heard DRV changed the way they installed the bats. I guess not.

Yes, built in March 2018.

And another burst bubble. When I saw the insulation at the factory (our RV) I gave it a tug and it seemed secure.

There is very little glue sprayed on the walls.

We were looking at modular homes this past weekend.
DRV could take a lesson. the homes all have blown in insulation that is secured with a net like covering.

Besides using a glue gun that sprayed an even 12-14" swath of glue, some type of additional support would go a long way with keeping the batts were they are supposed to be.

Clev,

My safe had 4 screws, 2 across the bottom front, 2 across the top front.
And of the 4, only one didn't spilt the wood support. And support is a weak term.
None of the four were run all the way in.

The support wood is 3/4" square wood stapled to the cedar board's 1x2 framing.

It is neither stapled flush with the enclosure or spanning a width much more then the opening.

Wow.... We love our Axis and the family joyous outings we have enjoyed. I only keep my rigs 5 yrs Max. Seeing that amongst everything on this forum. I am a Super Handy person like the rest of you guys don't mind fixing myself.... but rebuilding?? The old Champion brand of the 70's were built better if you can believe that... Those photos are a BIG % U TO US CONSUMERS.... WOW, I will Enjoy our Axis 3 more yrs. But Never Thor again for me. Not sure I can think of another company charging for such an inferior product. Those photos are a Shameful Scam Not what you were told you were buying. I am embarrased driving the Thor Name knowing what they did to everyone.

The grass it not greener on the other side.
You have to keep in mind what you see on forums is more problems then kudos.
I LOVE my MS and it is my home.
To me a forum is to share problems and figure out solutions. And make and build some friendships along the way.

Joe,
Take a look at the front landing gear also. Found that some of the foam had broken down and that there were a couple of holes in it as a result. I just stripped mine out and sprayed in the great stuff foam, in black. I had to order it on line as none of the big box stores carried it.

Black foam can sometimes be found in the outdoor pond section. That is where I get mine at the local HD

Had the jacks replaced in Sept--new foam doesn't seem to have any openings. Kinda odd about the bees--see them flying around the trailer, never seen one go in anywhere. On warm days, get to kill about 3-4 inside trying to get out. When cold, no bees anywhere.
Stopped in Van Horn tonight, no bees. Will see tomorrow. Would think, if I move often enough, will lose them little by little....no swarms, just singles moving around, no actual single point of interest. On the other hand, maybe I can get to the honeycomb for some natural honey....
Just got to try out Passport America here in Van Horn--Desert Willow Park, 13.50/night for max 3 nights. Same deal for Escapees. Tried to stack PA/SKPs, no luck. Pretty basic, but nice park for stopping on I-10 in either direction.

Sorry for the late response; relatives visiting this past week. Thank all of you that responded to the safe issue. I'll be getting back into it, probably Tuesday.
