Pendulum lights

I recall reading about some breakage problems with then island pendulum lights, but that isn't my problem--one quit working and turns out the LED light was loose and not making good contact. I can get it back in and working but cannot get my hand inside the globe to get leverage to lock it in the slots.
Any ideas?
How does the globe come off the stem?
Thanks,
Joe

Joe, can you post a photo of the light? I had a problem with led lights in my over the sink set at the house and ended up using rubber gloves to be able to secure a grip on the edges of the light itself. The deal here was if you removed the globe and installed the light, the globe would not fit over the light. So, the solution was the gloves and they worked.

There is a small "ring" that screws onto the socket base to hold the globe up. Don't drop, as they break easily. Need small hands to reach up inside. Usually the globe will not fit over the lamp, but they all are different. That just means that the globe has to go on first, then the lamp. Good luck.

Bill,
Thanks. Was trying to move that ring but it won't budge--but don't have any way to grab it except fingers. Light is already LED so no problems with fitting the globe over it if I can ever get the globe loose. Light is back working but it is not locked into the horizontal slots, just held in by tight fit. Thinking to leave it alone until it won't work by pushing it back in.
