Back window screen

Our Thor Citation has a large window in the back, which is also an emergency window. It doesn’t have a screen and We thought that maybe it should. Any info on how we can get one?

I made one from fiberglass screen and velcro.

We're the second owners of our Windsport. When we bought the rig, it had a fiberglass screen with velcro attachment; appearing to be a user-addition just as Pete described. We added a "cut to length" piece of 1/2 x 2" wood that makes a perfect brace between the glass frame and window frame to safely prop it open. That comes in really handy for air circulation, and enjoying the night air and sounds in the spring and fall.

If you don’t want to make one yourself, this company makes screens to fit.

interesting....
my rear escape window doesn't have any sort of hold open braces or latches so that would be another hurdle I'd have to overcome...otherwise seems like a great idea!

I also used a piece of nylon screen cut to fit and attached velcro. I ended up using gorilla glue to get the screen to stay attached to the velcro, the velcro on the window frame was fine. I cut a little access flap at the bottom to unlock and place my little wood prop in the window, then re secure with the velcro attached.

Be very care using the emergency exit windows for ventilation. They are in fact your emergency exit. On my 29m the entire window falls out when slightly opened.

Yes it depends on how it's hinged. Some have had the window fall to the ground when unlatched.
