Depends on the terrain of course - and weight/towing...
When towing - and leaving on cruise at 65ish - it will certainly downshift on hills. Yes - the V10 can get noisy then, but not a problem for the engine - just loud to those listening. (It is designed for the higher revs...)
Much less downshifting when I leave the 4000 lb toad behind.

(I find it tends to downshift faster on cruise than with my foot... Guessing the computer is reacting faster and pushing harder on the 'pedal'.)

We are considering buying a Jeep to tow - new at this. What Jeep would you recommend (we like the smaller 2-door style)? And, what tow bar do you recommend?
